The data center where the weatherpixie server lives suffered some
problems, and weatherpixie wasn’t the only one having issues it also
knocked b3ta.com off line…As far as I can work out, the data centers electricity substation appears
to have exploded. The fire service wouldn’t let the data center switch
over to backup generators so they had no electricity. Unfortunately the
power surge seems to have taken the power supply of the server out. This
is in the process of being fixed, however I get the impression that we are
not the only server out of commission. It will hopefully be back soon, I
could have sworn I saw it was working last night tho.http://tech.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=08/06/01/1715247

If its any consolation I haven’t been able to access my email from
Thursday to yesterday evening…

I should have known that slashdot was on top of it. Why didn’t these articles show up on Google? What’s the hold up? What are they waiting for? This is important new information and it didn’t show up on the first two pages of Google. Oh well, I will research that one later. All is well here now and we will have our weatherpixie.com back soon, (I hope!)
